Tie the knot at Ruby events & wedding venue in Nashville in a contemporary style

Your grin from ear to ear is telling us that you have found ‘the one’ made for you. Congratulations! We could imagine how wreathed you were in smiles while pulling out your hand out for that dreamy engagement ring- a halo of happiness! Undoubtedly, this is the moment that no girl can forget all her life and would want to save forever to tell the tale. We know you are the bride of the 21st century who very well understands the importance of a professional engagement photographer who could capture the most important moments of your life in the best of frames. So after you have had a terrific engagement photo session, it’s time to hire an equally excellent wedding photographer. Well, we would recommend you to book the same photographer if you liked their work for several reasons. And one of them is the comfort and trust that was built during the engagement session with your wedding photographer. Certainly, a skilled photographer is a key to great to gorgeous wedding photographs, however, it’s the place of event that makes them magical. We can’t ignore the myriad photo ops that a beautiful venue could offer.

We love seeking unique and new types of venues everywhere we go. Whether you’re hosting an intimate event, a small gathering over dinner, or going all-out and setting off an all-night dance party, Nashville is desperate to make your special event even more special with its lofts, studios, canneries, and factories that make for a perfect distinctive event venue at your disposal. With huge windows, towering ceiling heights, cement floors, and tons and tons of exposed brick, these event locations are industrial gold. Industrial-chic weddings give new life to once neglected or abandoned spaces like former factories, revamped warehouses, and converted lofts. Seemingly unappealing details such as exposed brick, peeling paint, visible pipes, and cement floors look hands down beautiful when coupled with modern wedding decor.

A throwback to the industrial revolution, this style mixes unrefined structures with sleek, contemporary design. The result is both gritty and glamorous, so it's no wonder industrial-chic weddings are having their moment. From The Bell Tower and Marathon Music Works in Nashville to Balinese Ballroom in Memphis to Waterhouse Pavilion at Miller Plaza and Church on Main in Chattanooga, this Tennessee city has an array of wonderful loft or warehouse or industrial wedding venues for modern couples. There is no doubt, a stunning wedding venue makes your special event magnificent not only in reality but also in photos. So let’s know about a venue that is right up your alley and that your big day deserves.

There’s something about juxtaposing beauty with texture. Urban with elegance! In the Hillsboro Village neighborhood next to Vanderbilt, lies Ruby- Nashville's original urban boutique wedding venue. Boasting unmatched industrial, mid-century design style, a minimalist perfection, Ruby is indeed a gem of a venue. Ruby wedding venue is all about architecture and design. Its distinct mix of traditional and contemporary design is something that makes it what it is- a spectacular place to tie the knot in Nashville. Gorgeous black oak floors paired with an industrial, steel-beamed ceiling making this an arresting space to host a dramatic wedding in Nashville. Translated to events, this art gallery approach enables soon-to-be-married couples to design the space to their specifications.

Ruby's historic structure is made of exposed brick and beautifully formed concrete, an open truss ceiling, and splendid translucent plaster walls. Recipient of the Urban Land Award and Design Award of Excellence (in 2012) for its architectural and design quality and thoughtful integration with its park and neighborhood environs, Ruby is a retreat for couples and wedding photographers equally. An anchor for the vibrant and historic Hillsboro Village neighborhood, Ruby is blessed with a lovely neighborhood and green space location. And the cherry on the cake is the Dragon Park enveloping it, which plays an enchanting backdrop for your outdoor ceremony in their outdoor courtyards. Ruby is the smaller relative to Clementine (located in the LOTTE District of Charlotte Avenue between the Sylvan Park and Nations neighborhoods). Since 2011, this gorgeous Nashville wedding venue has been bringing the couples’ vision to life in the Country Music Capital of the World, Nashville - weddings, music, corporate and charitable groups.

Your big day comes and goes in a wink. That's why preparation is key. Once you nail down your perfect wedding venue and professional yet affordable wedding photographer/s and/or videographer, it’s time to plan post-wedding photography. Luckily, Nashville and its suburbs are well equipped to make the newlyweds’ photos interesting and Instagrammable. But before you select or ask for photogenic locations for your post-wedding photo sessions, (let us enlighten you if it’s your destination wedding) that there are always tons of events going on in Downtown Nashville, so before you head out for your couple photoshoot, check and see what’s going on so you know what kinds of crowds to expect. Plus, you get ample easier and cheaper parking space outside of downtown (such as in a mall parking lot) and take Uber or Lyft in/out of the downtown area. Now let’s take you on a stroll to 5 photogenic places to consider for your post-wedding photo session (or engagement photoshoot/pre-wedding photography).

Vanderbilt University

Imagine log cabins for rustic backgrounds and white pillars for a more upscale vibe, this is what this outdoor location offers. You could try myriad different looks in one setting and incorporate abundant fences and trees as a natural background into your couple portraits. Depending on the season, there could be charming flowers in bloom as well.

Randor Lake

We all know what wonders water can do to our photos in the backdrop. Take your Nashville post-wedding photos to notches higher with Radnor Lake in the background. This is the dream photography location for nature-loving couples! There’s an abundance of greenery, trees, and a scintillating lake.

Downtown Nashville

If want to add a city vibe to your post-wedding photos, you’ve got endless possibilities in the city! Some of the couples’ favorite spots are Cumberland Park, the Pedestrian Bridge, Printer’s Alley, and Broadway. Cumberland Park is awesome for getting some greenery in alongside the city views. The pedestrian bridge is one of our photographers’ favorite golden hour spots! Steal a kiss against the setting sun on the bridge and voila! Printer’s Alley and Broadway offer bucket full of bricks, city streets, and neon lights for oh-so-cool couple pictures!

Hunter State Park

If you’ve always dreamt of your perfect post-wedding photos in an open field, then let’s head to Long Hunter State Park! This is our favorite place for open field couple photos (we recommend carrying some bug spray to steer clear of summer ticks though). You could also venture over to the lake to add in some water backdrops (oh we love it!).

Hewitt Garden Center

This curated greenhouse in Franklin is a really fun place to bag some breathtaking indoor post-wedding pictures! There’s always a large range of greenery, and other blooms depending on what’s in season. And the perk is- there’s no additional cost to using this location for photography!

A city that’s accommodating, authentic, and accessible, Nashville is full of pleasant surprises, whether it’s a pre-wedding and post-wedding photo session or the wedding itself. It’s all about the location you choose to say your ‘I do’s’. You will know it the moment you’ll enter the city where music has been the common thread connecting the life and soul of the city and its people.

Our professional wedding photographers love capturing Ruby weddings and special events and saving the couples’ happiest moments in the best of frames. This Tennessee wedding venue with its expert personable team of professionals leaves no stone unturned to make your most important day an unforgettable affair. Feel special as you walk through their 15-foot tall custom-made teak front doors designed by a contemporary Spanish architect (at least we do!).
