We absolutely love covering weddings. The best part of covering weddings is that we get a chance to have a look at some of the best moments of your love. From the point, the bride and the groom are getting ready, to the walk down the aisle, from taking your wedding vows to your grand wedding exit, we love everything about a wedding day! Emily and Kieffer’s wedding day was everything we imagine a dreamy wedding to be. The wedding details were well-planned and were synchronized with the pretty colors. The bright and airy color scheme with gold, beige, and yellow combined with greenery was amazing. And what’s more, the couple even brought their cutesy poodle to their wedding! 

Nestled along the glistening shores of Lake Michigan, Chicago emerges as a mesmerizing destination that weaves together a rich tapestry of architectural marvels, stunning waterfront vistas, verdant parks, and a vibrant arts and culinary scene. This captivating city featured prominently on any traveler's wish list, beckons with its undeniable allure and endless possibilities for exploration. Embracing the spirit of innovation, Chicago's skyline stands tall and proud, showcasing a breathtaking display of architectural wonders. From the majestic Willis Tower, reaching for the clouds, to the sleek lines of the John Hancock Center and the contemporary elegance of the Aqua Tower, each building tells a story of human ingenuity and artistic expression. With beautiful waterfront charm and delicious culinary delights, the city is brimming with energy and things to do. This is where Emily and Kieffer fell in love with each. Falling for each other, they also tied the knot here. The wedding venue was the beautiful The Haley Mansion, which is a captivating wedding venue that exudes timeless elegance and grandeur. With its exquisite architecture, lush gardens, and picturesque surroundings, this historic mansion offers couples a truly enchanting setting for their special day. The stately ballrooms, adorned with sparkling chandeliers and intricate detailing, provide a magnificent backdrop for wedding ceremonies and receptions. From the meticulously manicured grounds to the luxurious interiors, every corner of The Haley Mansion radiates sophistication and charm. With impeccable service and attention to detail, this venue ensures an unforgettable wedding experience that will leave couples and guests in awe.

Their wedding day started as fresh as their wedding photos turned out to be! We loved the pretty details and how the couple had a spring in their feet when they’d pose for photos and see each other. So, let’s start where it all began, the beautiful wedding was set to happen during the day, followed by an indoor reception party. The wedding ceremony happened outdoors, under the open sky and the lush greenery of the venue. For the day, the girls and the boys decided to get dressed separately. As the boys decided to get dressed in a separate room, the girls had their dresses out and placed them on a hanger, and had our wedding photographer take photos of the dresses. After our photographer took photos of the bridal dress, which was lined with pastel pink bridesmaid dresses, we also took photos of the bridesmaids. Everyone was excited to get the day started. The bride-to-be was holding a beautiful bouquet with white flowers and greenery. Before the girls decided to get ready, Emily touched her beautiful wedding dress and looked at it for a bit. And just like that, everyone was indoors and getting ready for the wedding day. 

The groom and groomsmen were already getting dressed. Their getting-ready photos were beautiful, cute, and filled with smiles and anticipation. Our photographer also took photos of the wedding details, from the groom and groomsmen’s accessories. Kieffer and his groomsmen had decided to get dressed in pretty gray three-piece suits. The pastel gray suits were paired with peach ties. When they were all dressed, they posed for a few photos. They even brought their cute four-legged doggo for a photo session as well. Before Kieffer and the groomsmen were leaving to wait for the bride at the wedding ceremony altar, the father of the groom helped him fix the boutonniere. And like that, all of them were dressed. 

Meanwhile, the bride-to-be was also dressed for the day too. Our photographer took photos of other details of the wedding. From their wedding stationery to the beautiful wedding jewelry, our photographer took photos of everything! The wedding ring box was a geometric wooden box, with a plush cushion bounded by small white flowers. Instead of having a first-look photo session with her partner, she decided to have a first look-with the bridesmaids! Our photographer helped Emily take amazing photos. Our Chicago wedding photographer helped the girls to set it up. Our photographer had the bridesmaids turn away, and when the bride with her hand-tied wedding bouquet walked in, she asked them to turn around. Our photographer, ever-ready, captured the most authentic photos of the girls! The photos captured the bridesmaid’s emotions, expressions, and the fact that it is the first time they saw Emily in her wedding dress, makes those photos look even better.  

Before the wedding ceremony could commence, the bride for the day posed for a few bridal portraits. Our photographer helped Emily to pose for a few photos. The pretty wedding dress had a long train with embellishments, which our photographer highlighted in the photos. Right before Emily was leaving the room, she wanted to fix her bridal shoes, so our photographer took some more photos. And just like, everyone was dressed and ready for the day to start. The couple had decided to have their wedding ceremony outdoors, Kieffer was already there and now it was Emily’s turn. For the day, she chose to sport a beautiful ponytail with some braids in them for her bridal hairdo. Her wedding day makeup was natural and exceptionally pretty. With her makeup and hair in place, and the wedding bouquet in her hand, the bride for the day made her way to her wedding ceremony. But before that, the bride had another thing to do. Apart from taking a first-look photo with her bridesmaids, Emily also wanted to have a first-look photo with her father. The father of the bride was standing with his back turned to her. The father of the bride was dressed in a similar outfit to the groom’s outfit! 

Emily walked up to her father, softly tapping on his shoulder, which prompted him to turn. When he did, the father of the bride was overcome with emotions and smiled, and then hugged his daughter. And just like that, the bridal party was ready for the wedding ceremony! The groom was already waiting for Emily, and the wedding guests were seated, the room filled with a soft murmur. As anticipation hung in the air, Emily walked down the aisle with her father. Softly gliding through the aisle, she walked up to Kieffer and smiled. And just as the anticipation was building for them, the ceremony started. They looked into each other’s eyes as they took their heartfelt wedding vows. For her wedding ceremony. Emily had also added a wedding veil to her wedding outfit. Kissing each other the wedding ceremony came to an end and the couple were married! As the guests took a break for a while, the couple was happy and posed for some photos to remember the day. For the day, the couple decided to have a few romantic photos, just the two of them, and wanted to have some photos with their groomsmen, bridesmaids, and family. 

Before these two love birds had a photo session, with just the two of them, the couple posed with their family for group photos. Then took turns to pose with the bride’s family and the groom’s family as well. And then, the family moved back to the wedding reception, and the couple took beautiful photos together. The lush greenery of the wedding venue was the perfect backdrop for the newly married couple. The beautiful lawns were made prettier with Emily smiling and posing for photos there! She fluffed her skirt and the train to make her dress look like a princess wedding dress. Then the two posed for romantic photos, where the two were kissing each other, romantically standing close, almost in an embrace, and had a few traditional wedding photo poses to try. Once they were done with that, they took photos with their groomsmen and bridesmaids. The groom posed with his boys, striking amazing poses. The bride and bridesmaids had a great time creating a wreath around Emily with their bridesmaid bouquets. They also placed their bouquets on the wedding dress train as well. Emily then posed with her four-legged fur baby, and then Kieffer joined them too! Taking a photo right in front of the beautiful venue was perfect and made their photo look like a beautiful fairytale photo. 

Before the wedding reception started, Emily found a couch and sat down. The vintage design of the sofa along with the beautiful backdrop of the venue inside made the photo look amazing. To match the vintage wedding venue, the wedding reception details were created perfectly. The tablescape was classy with white, cream, beige, and yellow in the center. Every table had a beautiful frame that signaled the table number. For wedding centerpieces, the couple had a long vase, with white flowers and greenery. Instead of a sweetheart table, the couple had a long table for everyone. The wedding cake was similar to the floral details. The three-tier wedding cake had edible flowers on it. The wedding reception entrance had the escort cards pinned to a board, letting everyone know where they were placed. The couple made their wedding reception entrance and had their romantic first dance. Then taking the time to dance with their families, the couple started enjoying their wedding day! As the wedding snacks were served, the guests were enjoying their wedding, and the couple sat down next to each other and smiled. Their life, together, was only beginning and the celebration of their love had turned out to be a perfect colorful celebration! Our wedding photographer took photos of the two enjoying their day, and helped them encapsulate every memory of the day into amazing photos!
