Kyle and Leslie's Hartford Wedding Photos at the Lace Factory

06-09-20

Every wedding is special in its own right, however, there are some weddings which manage to touch your heart just right, and leave you pinching yourself to check whether you are dreaming. Kyle and Leslie’s special day takes you through an enchanting journey through a day that looks right out of stock images. A crisp wedding dress which hugs just right, vibrant bursts of green from the foliage, rustic details carefully balanced by splashes of lilacs and indigo, and a couple who look at each other with warmth so strong, you can toast marshmallows! Clean canvases, refreshing colors, and abundance of freshness, this is surely a wedding that comes at you like a summer breeze on a toast day.

Kyle and Leslie had their heart set on Hartford as a destination for their dream wedding, and we must say, it is a beautiful choice. If you are hoping to have Hartford as your wedding canvas, you are in for a treat. It is no surprise that Hartford is among the oldest cities of the country, founded in 1635 and the distinct vintage vibes of the city certainly look mesmerizing when added to your Hartford wedding photography too! Home to time-adorned pieces of architecture, from the oldest public art museum in the US, Wadsworth Atheneum, to Bushnell Park, the oldest publicly funded park, the city is embedded with historic presences throughout. A richly textured city whispering of years of intriguing history, there is a timelessness that this city depicts. What better than this city to depict the timeless love of this stunning couple!

The day started bright and early for Kyle and Leslie as they gathered in St. Pius X Catholic Church, located in Middletown, Connecticut, for the wedding ceremony to happen. Leslie looked fresh as a daisy as she donned her gorgeous wedding dress. The dress was a simple no-fuss cream number with clean lines and a plunging deep V, a fitted bodice, and a skirt that flared out gracefully from the waist. The see-through side paneling of the dress added a dash of ‘risque’ to the look and the back dipped down to a deep V too, resulting in her to look effortlessly elegant yet minimal. Her jewelry was just as elegant, with dangling earrings and bracelets. Her neck was kept bare to accentuate the dramatic neckline of the dress, doing perfect justice. Her hair was arranged in a braided half-updo as it cascaded to land gracefully on her shoulders. Minimal make-up completed the look and the gorgeous bouquet filled with evergreen foliage and speckled with white roses made the perfect accessory to Leslie’s stunning bridal look.

The wedding entourage looked equally beguiling, dressed in aesthetically complementary shades of lilacs, blues, and indigos. The bride’s gang looked like a perfectly balanced composition of colors, orchestrated in a manner where each individual perfectly rocked their special dress, while still making it look like a part of the same group, making them a perfect fit. While the same color family gave the wedding party uniformity, the differences in shades, material, details, and textures of the different dresses pulled right in. The Hartford wedding photographer covering this stunning wedding had to take advantage of this picturesque moment and trapped it forever for the couple to treasure. The wedding photographer from Hartford used this moment to capture some bridal portraits as well as some group pictures with the bridal group.

Meanwhile, Kyle, our dashing groom of this wedding, was tying in those loose ends as he got ready for the ceremony. His indigo three-piece suit looked sharp on him, and the vibrant floral blue tie brought in the look together and added a pinch of fun. The tangerine flowers and green leaves from the tie invited a bit of summer festivity to the look, ensuring Kyle looks ever-so-charming and full of fun, without it being too much! The sprig of green and white boutonnière adorning his coat lapel ties in the minimal white and green decor of the wedding. Little details like the gorgeous leather strap watch and the sparkling cuff links added the final finesse to the complete look. The groomsmen echoed the look with blue suits to match. The wedding ceremony commenced beautifully, with the neutral backdrop and the wooden touches of the church providing the perfect backdrop for the wedding photographer to capture.

After the wedding ceremony was done and dusted, it was time for the celebration. The Lace Factory is an idyllic location that proved to be the perfect spot for hosting this amazing wedding reception. Initially started as a local shipbuilding yard and later a dockage for the ivory being delivered to local piano factories, Deep River Landing has a long and intriguing history as a buzzing center of activity. Built in 1875, the building which houses The Lace Factory has gained its reputation of playing an integral role as a part of the picturesque location by the edge of the Connecticut River. The Lace Factory warehouse accommodates around 220 guests and is the perfect blank canvas for you to build your dream wedding on. A chameleon of a wedding venue, the venue can take on many different looks! The vintage bar, the stunning entryway, and hallway, and the warehouse, all come together to create a wedding that will live on in the minds of the guest long after the night ends.

The wedding party later regrouped for some beautiful group photography with the gorgeous green backdrop, and the effect was nothing less than perfect. The stunning forest green color brought in the perfect balance in the backdrop, matching the leaves in the bridal bouquet perfectly. This was the perfect photo opportunity for the bride and groom to pose for some couple portraits and also different combinations of the wedding party. The Hartford wedding photographer also did the perfect job of capturing the gorgeous couple by the train tracks! Not only is there something innately romantic about train tracks, but we also can’t get over the symbolism attached to these pictures, as the two train tracks merge to become one, just like two lives merging together leading towards a particular destination.

Before space started filling up, the Hartford wedding photographer captured some amazing pictures of the couple in the outdoor area. The beautiful exposed-brick wall, the rustic wooden door, and gorgeous signage proved to be the gorgeous canvas for some candid couple photography. The signage and the door beams are colored in the same shade of green which seemed to be well aligned with the overall theme of this wedding. The iron clad outdoor furniture added the perfect charm to the wedding venue while the abundant greenery completed the picture like the perfect fit.

The venue features a spacious dining area with wide windows, which invites in a whole lot of natural lighting, thereby enabling the photographers to add some stunning images to couples’ wedding album. The most amazing thing about this Hartford wedding venue is how accommodating it is in terms of creative expression, enabling a couple to optimize this space as per their unique wedding theme. From its classy wooden flooring to the exposed beam ceiling to the white walls, there is a simple and clean elegance in the area, making it timelessly appealing. Kyle and Leslie used sheer ethereal-looking drapey fabrics and some fairy light to add some softness to the setting, and the overhead drop lamps added an understated elegance to the pristine look, while the majestic white chandelier added that rustic-glam edge to the hall. They took this opportunity to get portraits in before the area went abuzz!

The Lace Factory also comes with a bridal or bachelor suite on-site, making emergency touch-ups a breeze. The Riverview Room is the perfect outdoor event space for an intimate gathering with the most perfect view. Be it the rehearsal dinner or a small cocktail party, this space is enough to entertain the closest few of the happy Hartford couples. We especially love the rustic boho set-up that Kyle and Leslie had gone for, which is the right amount of contrast from the rest of the venue, without it being completely off point. The comfy leather couch, the rustic wooden background, and the scarlet rug each are bold pieces all working together in perfect harmony. The macrame wall hanging behind the couch adds a bohemian touch, while the wine bottle chandelier lends an area of interest to the setting. The rustic vintage coffee table completes the room with a bold stroke. This area is a perfect setting for the bride and groom to get some cozy captures and adds the right amount of color and depth to the image, making them visually charming. We think that the picture where the couple shares a kiss on the couch is endearing and the special moment is captured by the wedding photographer from Hartford with perfect flair.

We absolutely loved the simple minimal decor that the couple played with, with the usage of no more than three to four basic usage of colors. White seemed to be running the show throughout the venue, with the monotony broken occasionally by the exposed brick, the wooden accents, or the brilliant green of the foliage. The gorgeous green garland brought the freshness of the outdoors in. While the theme was mostly rustic and elegant, the venue also brought out certain vintage elements that were endearing and certainly a nice surprise. The lack of heavy drapes and excessive decor, encouraged light and movement in the space, making it universally appealing and a photographer’s dream come true. We loved that since the wedding party was dressed in myriad shades of blue, the color was not overused in other aspects of the wedding be it decor or sneaky minute details. The minimal usage of colors kept each tone looking fresh and vibrant as the first stroke of breeze in spring! This goes to show that repetition is not always a good idea, while neutrals usually are!

The wedding details seemed to be laid out in the most perfect placements from the table setting to the guest seating tags. Everything had a military precision to it, adding to the minimal elegance of the wedding. The seemingly endless row of white tables and chairs dressed up in white plates and adorned with green leaves centerpieces looking endearingly minimal, clean, and elegant. No fancy flowers or candles, no sparkling candelabras, and excessively cutlery to drive one confused, the table setting had an easy feel about it which is appreciated. The guest table allotment tags were arranged in the entryway with wooden pegs, completing the rustic feel of the decor. The bar area was set up to be warm and welcoming with casual chalkboards signage to spell out the ‘bar rules’. The long display of beverage options looked absolutely stunning while the casual table tags along with fun postcards added that personal touch to the wedding decor. We love the intricate details that the Hartford wedding photographers have captured, capturing the vibe of the wedding day in perfect frames. Be it the “Trust me you can dance” signage or the scrumptious display of mini cupcakes on the dessert table, everything spoke volumes about the attention to detail that the couple had invested into.

Kyle and Leslie bring grace to the table and have a way of making everything look effortless and perfect. From the moment the bride zipped up her dress till the couple danced to the tunes as their close ones cheered on them, every moment of this wedding is precious. There is a class in this couple and the quiet elegance in the wedding venue which does each other justice, creating the perfect marriage. There was reassurance in the air that instantly put everyone at ease, whether it was the guests of a random stranger peering through the picture squares. From the gaze in their eyes and the insuppressible smile in their lips, this is surely a couple who sure walk into the ‘happily-ever-after’ with a spring in their steps and a swing in their arms!
