McGovern Centennial Garden is an expansive park in the middle of an otherwise bustling metro area. It allows you to have the scenery of the country without having to travel far! As one of the curated green spaces in Texas, there are a variety of sculpted grounds that make for the perfect setting for your Houston engagement photography session. 

Celebration Garden is bedecked with hedges, allowing for plenty of privacy. You and your fiancé will feel like you’re in your own world as your engagement photographer snaps away. 

Another point of interest includes the Bill Coats Bridge, which connects the banks of the Brays Bayou. The modern architecture of the bridge makes for a nice juxtaposition with the surrounding greenery. With 80-acres of native plants and wildlife, this location truly highlights the natural majesty of Houston.

One thing to keep in mind before visiting: While the park stays open year-round, the hours change seasonally. McGovern is open for longer hours in the summer months and shorter hours in the fall and winter. Be sure to check the hours and plan ahead with your engagement photographer before visiting!
