Jaclyn and Matt’s Sepia-Toned Engagement Session, Minneapolis

10-23-19

Jaclyn and Matt look straight out of a Hallmark movie on their autumn engagement photo session at Jensen Lake Trailhead, Minneapolis. Tucked away in the lap of the largest park in Dakota County, the Jensen Lake Trailhead comes with a large, shaded picnic area and grants access to a good measure of wooded hiking trails. That's not all, as there is a scenic canoe route, too, for one to explore and ski touring trails and wander Lebanon Hills Regional Park.

Jaclyn looked cozy with her classic, girl-next-door fall look. Dressed in a cream chunky knit sweater, blue jeans rolled up in the ankles and brown boots, she exemplifies all that is pretty and radiant. Her hair framed her face in soft, angelic waves.

Matt looked equally handsome in a speckled blue half zip-up sweater thrown over a white shirt and a pair of chinos in tan, introducing the fall colors in the wedding photography in the best possible way. A pair of brown shoes finished off the look with finesse.

Every location at this spot was postcard-worthy, and the setting made for a perfect picture. The fact that Jaclyn and Matt were completely encompassed by a newly-engaged glow, floating on a cloud of their own, helped a lot. The two looked effortlessly in love, making it easier for their Minneapolis wedding photographer to capture one great shot after another. The vibe transcends to the engagement session and the effect is absolutely adorable.

Jaclyn and Matt posed the overgrown fields of tall grasses and on-trail benches. They also were captured on the tree branches, with the lake in the background. The scenery was calm, with fall colors sprinkled among the glassy tranquil water. The seated pictures on the wooden hiking trails came out charming, with cuteness in good measure!

We especially loved the refreshing pop of red introduced to break up the sepia tones. Snuggled together with the red blanket, the couple look picnic-ready and the fact that it makes a pretty picture is merely an add-on!

As the sun dipped behind the orange leaves, the couple changed into more evening appropriate outfits. Jaclyn looked breathtaking in a scarlet v-neck dress to match the hues of sunset. Matt dressed up with a slate grey button-up and a pair of black jeans and looked ravishing. The dressy attire helped them look more celebratory, and they glowed with excitement for what was ahead!

Jaclyn and Matt’s photos were truly heartwarming and framable. Looking for more autumn engagement inspiration? Take a look at our blog!
