The recent makeover of the east riverfront spans three-and-a-half miles, from, so there are plenty of opportunities for your Detroit engagement photographer to snap some shots every step of the way. 

Located at the easternmost point of the Detroit RiverWalk, Gabriel Richard Park blooms with lush landscaping, a whimsical fountain, butterfly gardens a captivating labyrinth and fishing outlook. Modern art buffs will appreciate the meticulously landscaped Garden Rooms along the RiverWalk from GM Plaza to Rivard Plaza, which feature intriguing urban sculptures. 

Hop on the carousel at GM Plaza or frolic by the fountains for some carefree and romantic shots. Want some notable architecture in the background? Make your way to Hart Plaza and stand before the famed Horace E. Dodge and Son Memorial Fountain, designed by Isamu Noguchi in 1978. Don’t forget the 63-foot Victorian-style lighthouse at Milliken State Park, which is also host to a scenic harbor and 31-acre green oasis.
