Monica and Adrian’s Classic Romance – A Chicago Engagement Session and Wedding

06-20-18

Summer, the time to make new memories, is here. But we're slipping in a few throwbacks from the past season to give our prospective couples a little planning inspiration. So, gear-up and take notes as we revisit the engagement session and recent wedding-day of gorgeous Chicago couple Monica and Adrian.

Monica and Adrian had their Chicago engagement session at Lincoln Park Zoo, South Pond, on a chilly November day.

The pair looked stunning dressed up for their engagement session, leaving us in awe of Monica’s stellar red gown and Adrian’s classically handsome, super-sharp blue suit.

Their beloved sports car, a Challenger, made the ultimate prop at the session and added another dimension of interest to their photos. Their champagne toast under a chilly grey November sky was as romantic as it was sweet. Wrapping up their session, their photographer snapped photos as they walked under the Honeycomb pavilion, capturing an iconic view of the John Hancock building in the background.

Just like their session, Monica and Adrian’s big day did not disappoint. Full of classic details, glamour, and elegance, their July wedding at Itasca Country Club in Itasca, IL, had us mesmerized.

Beginning with some must-have bridal prep photos – detail shots of Monica’s blingy shoes, stunning dress, and bridal jewelry – the photographer followed up with a few groom portraits. Adrian looked absolutely dashing in his white suit paired with a black bow-tie. The groomsmen in black and the bridesmaids in a stunning array of neutrals wonderfully complemented the bride and groom in white. We loved their contemporary color-palette.

Posing in the scenic outdoors before their I Do’s, the couple looked so in love in their formal portraits. We loved the details included in the ceremony, but especially the sign reading, “No longer two but one” flanked by gorgeous ivory flowers.

The following reception stunned us with a wide array detail, too. From the Jenga blocks “guest book” to the chocolatey guest favors, nothing was missed. The gold accents paired with white flowers and white linens made the room look fresh and modern, but classically fabulous and elegant. The two had taken such care in creating a romantic evening.
