Jessica and Eric chose an intimate engagement session and wedding ceremony that has left us all in awe. 

They opted to have their engagement shoot at the Detroit Institute of Arts which is a structure flanked by modern architectural characteristics and contemporary buildings. This unique building became the perfect backdrop. The shots captured by their Detroit wedding photographer were simple and chic. Jessica kept up with current trends and opted for a black number with a flirty skirt. Her look was simple, but not too casual, and complimented Eric’s also minimalistic button-up and jeans. 

Their engagement photos featured a gorgeous view of the main institute building and had a clean, effortless feeling.

Jessica and Eric's engagement session also featured multiple shots featuring geometric shapes and structures. However, we love that they also chose to be photographed next to the sublime ‘naturesque’ views of the gardens. The mahogany branches added a classic and artistic appeal to the shots and made for a beautiful shot in the clear spring afternoon.

Things took a vintage turn when the wedding day came around and it took place at the end of April, a great time of the year for nature-inspired photos.

Their wedding venue, the Lafayette Grande, is a prime location for a vintage bridal style shoot. Its outdoor space and grand, French-inspired double doors, reminded us of the timelessness of the renaissance era. 

Their Detroit wedding featured trendy bridesmaids all dressed in black and accents of earthy tones. We love the whimsical twist of the flower arrangements that they carried, all featuring bold characteristics and textured pieces that complement their simple outfits perfectly. Jessica paired her ivory dress with a bouquet of ruby red roses.
