Holly and Justin’s Uniquely Tropical Chicago Wedding

06-28-18

Summertime is party time and we couldn’t be happier that it’s arrived with some of the most festive weddings of the year. So keeping with the vibes, Holly and Justin’s wedding gave us some major summer wedding inspiration with bright colors, tropical prints, outdoorsy décor and kitschy pineapples. The Chicago couple hosted their summer-themed wedding at the unique Warehouse:109. Its motorcycle gallery, vintage bar, and 1958 Airstream turned into a lounge made everything even cooler and fabulous.

The day started with colorful preparations as Justin donned a handsome blue suit paired with a statement-making tropical print tie and Superman cufflinks. We were simply blown away by his charming, summery look. It was the perfect accompaniment to the day’s theme! Even the boutonnieres were screaming tropical – featuring a tiny pineapple bud with a hint of pink, combined with fresh greens.

The groomsmen matched in the same blue suit but wore different tropical ties and superhero cufflinks and socks. The cheerful details were so fun to photograph and we loved the guys’ portraits in the Airstream and around the venue!

Holly worked her classic charm in a gorgeous lace sheath V-neck dress with a stunning train. We loved this perfect foundation to accentuate the colorful bouquet of coral, light pink and lime green, with the quirky addition of tiny pineapples. So original and fun!

The bridesmaids wore flowy, tropically printed dresses and posed with the bride for some beautiful portraits against the venue’s vintage motorcycle collection. The venue had no shortage of excellent photo ops with its unique charms and details. As their day progressed, Holly and Justin enjoyed a quaint outdoor ceremony with a whole lot of color, vibrancy and summer vibes.

Much like all the other details of the day, the reception space was created with character and personality. Cream linens with blue napkins adorned the place settings while long garlands, made up of pineapple, tropical greens and flowers, ran along the center of the farm tables. It was so unique yet so harmonious with their eclectic summer theme.

A tower of little cupcakes, topped with a small ombre coral-cutting cake marked the end to a spectacularly distinctive and memorable wedding. One for the books, for sure!
