Emily and Xavier’s Modern Botanical San Francisco Wedding

08-02-18

The city of cool summers and even cooler landscapes, San Francisco played host to Emily and Xavier’s wedding at the Camron-Stanford House. Turned into the first museum in the City of Oakland, it features Victorian life and culture and is the last remaining 19th-century mansion that once surrounded Lake Merritt. A historic aura combined with a modern charm made the day absolutely stunning.

With her girls by her side, Emily started the day in a white silk-robe while her maid-of-honor sparkled in silver and the rest in vibrant blue. Emily looked beautiful in her robe but her bridal look had us truly mesmerized. Simplistic and modern, her off-the-shoulder gown was flattering and feminine without any lace, extravagance or sparkle. And we loved how she cleverly paired her naturally curly hair with pin straight earrings. We love when such distinctive looks come together so harmoniously.

The bridesmaids wore white camisoles with full skirts in different colors. The mix of yellow, blue and grey-purple skirts brought a colorful and cheerful dimension to their wardrobe and photographs too. On the other hand, Xavier gave a pop to his blue suit with a patterned yellow tie while his groomsmen paired their suits with grey vests and tawny-hued ties. We must admit that the wardrobe choices at this wedding were quite stunning and unique.

As the ceremony started and Emily walked in, her sweet entry with her father made us remember why we love wedding photography. Nestled along the scenic landscape by the water, the gorgeous couple exchanged vows in a charming ceremony, surrounded by friends, family, and breathtaking views. And who can forget the group photos when talking about family and friends. The urban botanical setting and colors looked fantastic and beautifully framed the charismatic energy of the group. And the couple’s portraits? Let’s just say that we couldn’t keep our eyes off the two.

As evening came on, a blanket sat atop each reception chair, welcoming each guest to their chilly yet heartwarming reception. The table settings in white, blue and yellow complimented the dramatic greenery of the monstera centerpieces splendidly. And as Emily and Xavier danced the night away under twinkling string lights and city lights, we couldn’t help but deeply admire the modern take on this botanical wedding.
