Washington Square

Located on Philadelphia’s southeast quadrant, just steps away from Independence Hall, is the historic and romantic Washington Square, a 6.4 acre open space preserve full of monuments, architectural features, and beautiful landscaping that makes a fantastic spot for your engagement shoot. 

You’ll love discovering all of the different backdrops here as you stroll hand-in-hand down tree-lined boulevards punctuated with old-fashioned street lamps and the trunks of hundred-year-old trees. Picture yourself exploring tree-lined city streets overlooked by homes with brick facades, resting against brick walls, perching on the edges of fountains, and enjoying green lawns underneath the shade of spreading trees. 

Washington Square is the ideal place to shoot for the couple that loves the city and wants to show off one of its iconic spots. It’s especially lovely in the fall, when you’ll be treated to a wonderful display of colors that will adorn both the tree branches and the ground after the leaves gently fall to the earth.
