Montrose Harbor & Beach

Located on the northern edge of Lincoln Park is the Montrose Harbor and Beach, a beautiful location for your engagement shoot with many different architectural and natural elements that will make your photos come to life. Both the harbor and the beach boast incredible views of the impressive Chicago skyline, which makes a classic backdrop for your photographs. 

Here you can stroll down tree-lined pathways, step over to the beach and put your toes in the sand, or walk out onto the docks for a nautical feel and catch the color of the many boats. In the summer you’ll find fields of lush grass that are accented by a delicate but unkempt treeline that gives the location a natural, casual feel. Even though you’re in the middle of the city, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped miles away. 

On the shore, you can observe the waters of Lake Michigan with the gorgeous downtown architecture of Chicago rising in the distance. Along the water, the details on the boats provide pops of color as they gently rock in the waves. Its variety of backdrops and textures as well as the great views of the skyline make Montrose Harbor and Beach a fantastic spot for Chicago engagement photography.
