I'm amazed by the power of an image and the ability to forever capture a moment in time. I have a BA in Music and a minor in Photography from Birmingham Southern College. I also have a master's degree in music from Boston Conservatory. My approach to photography is creating a fun experience where the clients' personalities can come through. The results are beautiful, honest portraits of you and your love!
My shooting style presents itself as documentary but I do a ton of composing throughout a wedding day. I wouldn't say that I pose my subjects but I do a lot of directing which I find relaxes people. My compositional style is moody and very romantic but I also love to have fun with my couples and get them laughing. I work really hard to create moments that allow personalities to come through so I can capture them. My singular goal is to create a genuine, fun, and natural setting where people can be their beautiful selves.
From a photography standpoint, I love the challenge of reading the light all day long. It's so different from a studio setting where I have complete control over the light. On a wedding day, I must always be looking, thinking and creating. The couple's portraits are my absolute favorite part of the day. The first quiet moments after they get married are so special. I love to capture them!
