Theresa and Dennis’ Engagement and Wedding Photos are Full of Woodsy Winter Glam, New York

01-04-19

Theresa and Dennis had the perfect New York engagement session and wedding for a couple who loves winter and nature.

Theresa and Dennis' engagement session was a wintery dream. The couple sported bright pops of red for a festive seasonal tough. Theresa topped off her engagement photos look with a scarlet scarf, while Dennis looked handsome in a buffalo check plaid shirt. Flannel is a perennial favorite for fall and winter shoots.

The red accents looked particularly striking against the white snowfall, enhancing the color contrast. Couples can have a great time in outdoor shoots when snow is on the ground and love is in the air. If you're not one for cold temps, you can keep it cozy indoors, using the windows in the background to capture the bright white beauty of the snow. The winter allows for plenty of easy costume changes. Add a hat or gloves for a simple way to bring lots of variety to your photos.

Theresa and Dennis used playful props to enhance their photos. We especially loved the winter-style picnic photo with the flannel blanket and "Let It Snow" basket.

We always love when a couple invites their four-pawed pal into their photos. Their New York engagement photographer captures Theresa and Dennis with their dog holding a sign in his mouth. We love the way they used this photo to announce the date of their wedding, perfect for save the dates.

When the big day arrived, Theresa and Dennis celebrated with a ceremony and reception at Crystal Plaza  in New York. We love how they connected their engagement photos to their wedding by using some of their favorite pictures as part of the wedding décor.

The couple kept it woodsy when it came to their invites, which featured a simple white background with elegantly illustrated pine trees. Their wedding photographer highlighted the theme by photographing the wedding stationary surrounded by pinecones.

The bride began the day by getting ready in a personalized white silk robe. For the "getting ready" photos, the entire bridal party wore red buffalo check button downs. We love the flannel and the way it tied into Dennis' engagement session look.

Theresa wore a strapless white dress with a full skirt. The gauzy fabric made it feel light and ethereal, and it looked sensational paired with her unique bouquet. The gathering of white roses paired with eucalyptus and pine cones gave Theresa's bridal look resplendent texture.

The groom wore a grey suit with a black bow tie and black shirt studs. We love the classic color scheme and the way the shirt studs gave it a fresh feel. He topped off his look with a boutonniere to match Theresa's stunning bouquet.

A first look can be such a special moment, and Theresa and Dennis were no exception. Their pooch made an appearance again with an "I do" sign which was so cute!

The bridesmaids all wore red. The vibrant hue is an exquisite seasonal choice, and it made Theresa's dress look even brighter and whiter-- again pulling the theme through from their engagement photos to their wedding photos. The groomsmen followed Dennis' lead, sporting grey suits and bow ties.

How do you celebrate a picture perfect wedding? With a petal toss at the end of the ceremony! We love this celebratory and elegant gesture.
