Props, Pops & Poses: Sara's Engagement Session Inspiration!

Get ready, folks -- it's time for another installment of our Props, Pops & Poses series! And boy, do we have a treat for you!

Last week, we introduced you to Alex and her lovely, natural engagement session style! For this week's post, we decided to sit down and interview Sara, a co-member of George Street's dynamic Portfolio Team! Take a look at what sweet, furry pals play a role in her dream e-session...

Dogs, Pets, Engagement Session, Props, Inspiration

1. Dreamy and romantic, or vibrant and colorful? Spill the details on what "look and feel" you envision for your ideal engagement session!

Down-to-earth and casual! I would love to have as much of our personality reflected in the engagement session as possible — keeping it low-key, free-spirited and natural with our 'lil pup!

2. Location, location, location!! If you could pick any spot to shoot your e-session, where would it be?!

I have an exact location in mind — Palos Verdes, California! As a child, I would go here to watch the sunset over the ocean with my family. For our engagement session, we'd be in an open field overlooking the ocean with tall grass. It's the perfect place for a dog, and one of my favorite spots in the whole world. It definitely holds a very special place in my heart!

3. A little bit of color can go a long way! What stunning shades best characterize your engagement style?

I am bit of a minimalist! I love neutral colors, loose sweaters, beanies & tortoise shell glasses. That would definitely make up my engagement session style.

4. Sweet signs, a picnic for two...there's no doubt props can add an extra dose of pizzazz to any engagement session! What props — if any — would you include in your session?

My dog, P.J. (otherwise known as Peej)! And maybe a cute little sign, bandana or dog collar announcing our date!

5. Engagement photos are all about capturing that newly engaged glow! During your dream e-session, would you plan to strike a pose or simply live in the moment?

I am all about photojournalism when it comes to wedding and engagement photos! I am always drawn to warm, sunny photos — and I especially love images where people are living in the moment, expressing true happiness and emotion!
