If you’re going for a rustic-chic wedding style, take a cue from Janel and Daniel. This Atlanta couple ventured out of the city and into the rustic elegance of Vinewood Plantation. Steeped in history and southern tradition, this wedding venue charmed guests with its original farmhouse, rustic horse barn and rolling green pastures.
Janel’s gorgeous lace-textured wedding dress set the tone. A little boho, a little Victorian and completely romantic, it looked like a modern heirloom with its high neckline, button-down back and jeweled belt. Janel put a fresh twist on the flower crown trend with baby’s breath and wild purple blooms pinned in the back of her upswept hair. Janel’s bridesmaids followed suite and all wore delicate flower crowns - one of this years top wedding trends. Those stunning crowns replaced traditional bouquets, allowing Janel’s vibrant bridal bouquet to take center stage.
While each style was unique, the mismatched bridesmaid dresses were unified by an ethereal spectrum of soft pastels, all with a fitted bodice that flowed out to a chiffon A-line. Daniel went snappy-casual to complement the rustic setting with a cornflower blue suit, gingham shirt and micro-floral print bowtie. Note the twine-wrapped boutonniere - love!
For their outdoor ceremony, Janel and Daniel exchanged vows beneath an ancient pecan tree, allowing their wedding photographer to capture some pretty majestic shots.
After some DIY refreshments, the newlyweds and their guests headed into the barn for the reception. The rustic-chic wedding decor that filled the bar was pin-worthy, without a doubt. Table assignment cards were strung on the barn door with clothespins, leading guests to farmhouse tables set with burlap table runners, fresh greenery and Mason jar candles.
Complementing the rustic feel was a 4-tiered naked cake adorned with fresh berries and greenery - a sweet trend we’ve been seeing a lot of lately!
