James and Jamie from Atlanta know how to get engaged in style!

This LGBTQ Atlanta couple struck a pose for their engagement session and it was truly a breath of fresh air. The two took their Atlanta wedding photographer on a unique trip through the Virginia Highlands neighborhood that was as colorful as it was playful. 

The neighborhood boasts a series of murals and exquisite artwork that would leave anyone in awe. The couple chose the venue as an ode to spring and the vibrancy of their relationship as they embark on a new journey together.

We love how the two looked genuinely at ease in front of the camera, as they were photographed next to the gorgeous city murals. They even matched and color coordinated their outfits with the artwork, making it such an adorable session!

Their VaHi engagement session was a colorful fusion of modern and historic elements. Their idea to incorporate historical landmarks and creative expression into their session made it equally exciting for us to catch a glimpse of their fun personalities. 

The soon-to-be grooms also chose gorgeous scenic landscapes for some of their final shots, which were an artsy contrast to their otherwise playful session. 

Personally, we love the sentimental touch that Jamie and James brought to the session. They paid homage to their identity and past experiences by dressing up in their school colors, which we adore! 

Their easy going and laid back style has us planning our next vacation trip to Virginia Highlands and strike a pose next to the city’s famous landmarks.
