There’s nothing like incorporating florals and summer colors at a warm-weather wedding. This Charleston wedding brought out southern charm at the Old Wide Awake Plantation and serves as wonderful wedding inspiration for anyone opting for a Charleston wedding. 

Mary and Shane created a romantic day using soft colored florals and whimsy details that we’re still fawning over. The floral theme was carried throughout the occasion to build unity and consistency. Whether it was the invitations, bridesmaid dresses or the ceremony décor, bright and breezy florals were the focus of the day. 

We absolutely loved Mary’s Betsey Johnson bridal shoes. They were artistically cut and the cutout details were both modern and romantic. We loved how the shoes had rhinestones on them, adding subtle elegance and sparkle!

Mary’s bridal gown was breathtaking, with intricate lace and a sweetheart neckline. The skirt was flared and made of a breezy tulle fabric; a perfect combination for their summer wedding. 

Their ceremony took place outside the plantation on beautifully trimmed, moss-covered stairs under a blooming tree. Tropical plants and pineapples flanked the aisles - a sweet and memorable touch!

The surrounding grounds were perfect for group photos. We loved the photos of the wedding party, especially the ladies, under the green canopy of branches. The individual portraits were just as glamorous, the bride and groom shared a sweet moment with a gushing fountain in the background. 

The wedding photographer did an amazing job of creating different looks and arranging the group using the location’s best features. The bridesmaids wore bright blue dresses topped with eye-popping colored patterns that were perfect for the day. 

Mary and Shane had such a sweet and relaxing day, just like how we imagine every wedding in the South! Their reception details featured a simple but beautiful three-tiered cake with ruffled frosting and pink ranunculus. It even had a modern gold geometric cake-topper!

Their reception ended in a beautiful sendoff under a line of sparklers carried by the wedding party. So pretty!
