Spring always brings along a wave of joy, abundance, and rejuvenating energy. After winter, spring’s refreshing aura makes it the best season to plan a beautifully significant moment of your life. Traci and Tim thought so too, as they enjoyed a stunning springtime engagement session in Philadelphia.

A popular city-wide destination, FDR Park is the largest public green space in industrialized South Philadelphia. The park ’s bright, blooming trees among the surrounding blanket of greenery were enough to take anyone’s breath away. Traci and Tim took full advantage of the views as they went casual for their session and let the backdrops speak for themselves. Tim in casual shorts and a t-shirt and Traci in a simple white tank with jeans, the two looked adorable as they posed for a few pictures between the pink blossoming trees.

Afterward, Traci and Tim moved onto the lovely park pavilion for some beautiful photographs. The historic architectural elements, brick arches, and waterside views created a fabulous background, and it didn’t end here. It truly was a perfect day for photos as the late afternoon offered a reprieve from the harsh sunlight and also gave off the natural lighting perfect for photography. Even with so much to capture at the park, Traci’s gorgeous oval ring with halo setting stole the spotlight for a few photos.

As Traci and Tim moved on to the FDR skatepark with its overpass and colorful city graffiti, the botanical beauty changed to an urban landscape. The location variety added another refreshing dimension to the photos as our Philadelphia couple shared a bit of bubbly below the concrete ramps and the overhead structures broke the sunlight to create interesting shades. We love how their photographer used the play of light and shadows to their advantage.

And as their engagement session came to an end, Traci and Tim cheers-ed to a hopeful, bright future together and enjoyed each other’s company.
