Full of jazzy colors and sassy style, Megan and Ivan wooed us with their retro-inspired playful engagement session. Keeping true to the retro-era fashion, the two dressed the part; Megan in vintage curls and a full-skirted dress and heels, while Ivan caught our eyes with a kitschy bowtie and suspenders. Their old-timey session starting at The Courtesy Diner in St. Louis, Missouri, had the nostalgia brimming with the diner’s red vinyl, checkered tile, stainless steel and classic jukebox tunes. We had to applaud their commitment to the theme!

Snuggled in a booth, the couple shared coffees under the neon signage and by the big diner windows. We could see the coffee warming up the romance. Soon after, Megan and Ivan shared a milkshake. It made for such a cute photo opp and was made even more adorable by Megan’s visible amusement in photos.

Locations like this have a ton of color, funky backgrounds, and whimsical props to pose with, and Megan and Ivan took full advantage of all these charms. Their playful chemistry while selecting music from the jukebox was also genuinely adorable. We loved how much fun they were having!

Megan and Ivan made their way to Forest Park, and to more modern times as well. Boasted as one of the most beautiful urban parks in the world, the Forest Park brought an explosion of versatility to the couple’s retro engagement session with the high arches and parapets of the World’s Fair Pavilion, the cascading levels of the fountain and a whole lot of greenery.

The two had an outfit change for the new scenery; Ivan changing into a checked button-up shirt and jeans, and Megan in a vibrant red dress with similar a vintage silhouette. We loved how the dress moved in the wind. So romantic and charming at the same time!

They ventured through the wooded areas and walking paths, while Megan and Ivan had some stunning, romantic photos snapped in a wash of green foliage and trees.

And if that wasn’t enough, the couple was even blessed with a little rain. It’s a perfect end to the day when you have adorable umbrellas to help out!
