Emmy and Mario’s Romantic Ode to Red, Austin

02-12-19

Emmy and Mario's Terrace Club nuptials in Austin, TX was a study in how to do scarlet at a wedding.

The couple's February wedding was full of pops of red for Valentine's Day. In fact, the romantic décor and color palette was themed for the upcoming holiday. Emmy began the day by getting ready surrounded by her bridesmaids. Each of the women was dressed in a silk robe. Emmy wore bridal white, while her bridesmaids wore an opulent crimson.

When it came to bridal details, each aspect of Emmy's look was a show-stopper. Her wedding photographer captured each of the intricacies up close-- from her cascading veil the floral ornamentation of her shoes. Each small piece was captured in its exquisite glory! Of course, the biggest stunner of all was Emmy's gown. The dress boasted an embellished bodice, illusion neckline, and elegant lace sleeves.

Emmy paired her look with a romantic bridal braid, plaited in a voluminous fishtail. She topped it off with a hairpiece that brought that blended bling and natural elements. The floral structure of the hairpiece tied in nicely with her veil.

The bridesmaids stayed consistent in color, trading their robes for scarlet dresses in a variety of styles. The groomsmen donned black suits with red ties. Mario popped by pairing his black suit with a gold-and-white tie.

For their décor, Mario and Emmy used swaths of fabric to give both the ceremony and the reception a sweeping, romantic feel. Even the staircase down to the outdoor ceremony was adorned with red fabric, leading up to the altar that had been decorated with crimson sheers. These touches made for gorgeous wedding photography, from the entrances to the I do's.

We always love when the littlest members of the wedding party have their own moment to shine. Emmy and Mario's flower girl in a decked out wagon, too. So cute!

For the reception, the party moved indoors at the Terrace Club. A beautiful setting of scarlet and white was the perfect way to enjoy these February festivities. We especially love the mirrored favor sign that read "Love is Sweet, Take a Treat." The reception ambiance felt all the more special because of the way the couple tied their ceremony touches into the reception, with the fabric and glam details like gold, sequins, and sparkle.
