If there was ever a wedding that epitomized the spring season…this would be it! I could not have combined red, yellow and green more perfectly in my dreams. From the red lipstick to the unrealistically luscious Chandor Gardens, every detail is bursting with the bright, fresh air of springtime! And, as if that isn’t enough, guests got to take home an herb card to plant and grow on their own! I hope Abby & Todd had just as much at their wedding as I’m having looking at their photos! Happy Monday! We are so excited to share today’s wedding with you because it is one of our very own — Chris Burnett, Director of IT. That’s right…this handsome guy is one of our amazing George Street computer gurus! And, judging by the photos below, it looks like he knows how to have a good time. We love how Chris and his wife, Ashley, incorporated colors and details that seem to perfectly match their personalities — bubbly, full of energy, and super creative! I love it when vibrant shades come together with pastels! Soft blue & soft pink with pops of red create such a fun & unique wedding palette. One of my favorites is the idea of pairing the red gerbera flowers with the sky blue bridesmaids dresses! Another fab idea is filling blue mason jars with pink & red roses as a simple, yet gorgeous centerpiece. Are you considering this lovely palette for your big day?
Lidia Celebrates America: Something Borrowed, Something New, is a new series airing on PBS starring the famous chef, Lidia Bastianach. The show focuses on America’s many cultures and their unique wedding traditions, families and food. One of our lovely couples, Angie & Reggie, were featured on the show along with some beautiful photos from George Street Photo & Video. This DC engagement session is great inspiration for wonderful location spots in the city. I love how Jenna & Marc changed it up with their backgrounds, and I love how the photographer shot in many different angles! Their photos are fantastic, and Jenna made them even better with her red dress adding that perfect pop of color.
I’m in love with Christine & Jack’s style on their big day! Her one shoulder gown is so unique & goes wonderfully with her side-swept hair & bold red lipstick! Jack’s patterned bow tie was a fun touch to the look, and the vintage car was just right for their wedding day.
