Tag Archives: Details We LOVE

It’s wedding season in the George Street office! The other week you met Courtney M., one of our San Diego wedding consultants, and this week I have the pleasure of introducing you to Stacy, one of our San Francisco wedding consultants! Stacy was able to put together her absolutely stunning Houston wedding from half way across the country, so we had to know how she pulled it all off…

One of the biggest hurdles we faced with our wedding was planning out-of-state. I literally don’t know what I would have done without pinterest, wedding blogs and inspiration sites. For any brides planning a wedding out-of-state, definitely take advantage of inspiration boards when it comes to the design. Also, regardless of your budget, I would highly recommend having at least a Day Of Coordinator. My (now) husband and I are both very detail-oriented so took on much of the planning but knew we wanted to be able to hand over the stress to someone else the day of the wedding. And we’re so glad we did!

What’s funny though, is after all that planning and preparing, the most memorable part of my wedding day was actually something we hadn’t planned for at all. During the reception when our guests began dancing, our photographer approached us to say that the sunset outside was incredible and asked if we wanted to take a few portraits of just the two of us, so we did. I can honestly say it was the best moment of the entire night. You get so caught up in entertaining, talking and hosting that for 15 minutes, we were able to have “us” time, breathe, regroup and take it all in. I get goosebumps thinking back on it. And because we were finally relaxed, our emotions came out in the photos that much more.

When it comes to details and decorations, have fun with it! I would cut out ideas I loved from magazines but then tweak them to reflect us. Our dream was for every single guest to feel comfortable and “like family” at our wedding and I truly believe our dream came true.

In my opinion, this is one of the sweetest types of photos. It’s so special to see three generations of women wearing their wedding rings and knowing that they’ve all found life long love!

Attaching charms to your bouquet with photos of loved ones who are not in attendance is a great way to honor them and ensure that they are there with you as you walk down the aisle.

What an adorable umbrella!

Michelle & Ryan had the cutest idea of totally personalizing their wedding cake! They had all of their favorite EVERYTHING written on every tier. So to us they might seem like a bunch of words, but every single one has a special meaning to the couple. Love this!
