We have a special treat for everyone today! Instead of me gushing about Rebecca and Thomas’ stunning wedding, we’ve enlisted the bride herself to spill all the details….

I was not the little girl who dreamt up every detail of her wedding, which is surprising because I am a planner at heart. I always have a list of things going. To me, the wedding was something I wanted the man I was to marry to contribute ideas to. As we began planning, it became clear we had different ideas. My vision of muted pinks, mint green and white was quickly vetoed. So, I asked him what his ideal wedding color scheme would be, and I kid you not, the man I love more than life itself answered “rainbow”. Literally wanted a rainbow on his tie. After both calling each other crazy, we dropped the discussion to talk about again after more realistic thought went into it. Neither of us knew what direction to take in fear of getting our ideas shot down again so we turned to the experts of pinterest. Those who had gone before us. We searched high and low, and then suddenly, there it was. I saw one of the most beautiful flower arrangements and had to have them, and Tommy felt the same….

It wasn’t a simple color scheme either. Dark blue. Light blue. Orange. Gray. White. I wish I could thank the bride who used these flowers in her wedding because I literally had the same exact bouquet, down to the ribbon. Thank you random person, you made my wedding beautiful. And Laura Williams, a dear friend and true artist in the field of flowers, made that bouquet come to life at our wedding. When I look back on our wedding day, I can’t help but mention how beautiful those flowers are. The inspiration behind every other decorative piece of our wedding….

One of the easiest decisions we made for our wedding, was dessert. I had my first taste of Sprinkles Cupcakes in Chicago sometime around Fall of 2010. You could call me obsessed, but I like to think of myself as a connoisseur. Though I never really liked the idea of cupcakes instead of an actual cake at a wedding, I knew I would be happiest with Sprinkles, and even saved money this way. In fact, it was such a happy revelation when I realized every anniversary could be celebrated with a fresh cupcake (but thankfully Tom brings them home for me more often than is healthy, but neither of us are complaining). I had so much fun looking around finding different cake stands, and even making some myself. Opting for cupcakes gave me the opportunity to get more creative with my wedding. Adding fabric strips behind the table was just the touch it needed….

For a day that we’ll remember forever, we’re still so glad we get to take home all the beautiful picture reminders of the day we became one. And for that, we have George Street Photography to thank. It is impossible to take in everything that happens on your wedding day. I’ve already had moments where I ask myself “did I remember to…” and have to look back through pictures to remind myself. Investing in the memory of our wedding was our first priority and we’re so happy we did. Our wedding lasted one day – but it was the start of our forever. Our always. For this we are blessed and humbled. What an amazing journey getting to that day was, and how amazing it still is!

If you’ve read some of my previous posts, you’ll find my affinity for preppy details is no secret. So, you can just imagine how giddy I was when I got a glimpse of the monogrammed button-ups, Tory Burch’s, and pearls that grace this gorgeous Houston wedding! Every detail — down to the bows on the bridesmaids dresses — is so perfectly preppy I’m practically jumping with joy! Xo, Courtney

What better way to head into the weekend than with a blissfully happy bride and groom to be! With their contagious, never-ending smiles, Shari & Dustin are easily one of the most natural, genuine couples I’ve ever seen. From dancing in the streets to strolling in the park, this fashionable duo seem to make the best of every single moment together — and, I can’t seem to stop smiling along with them! Xo, Megan

I look at A LOT of photos on a daily basis and nothing puts a smile on my face quite like candid shots. And this Chicago wedding is filled with them, so you can only imagine how excited I am to share it with you today! The thing I love most about candid photos is that they capture such raw emotion. We caught Amber at all her best moments — crying, laughing, and completely in love. She will be able to look back at her wedding day and not only think about how amazing the big day came together, but how she felt at every moment. Congratulations Amber & Danny! Xo, Madison

Love a man in uniform? We’ll this is your lucky day, because we’re sharing Martha & JD’s picturesque D.C. wedding! The real eye candy here, however, is how truly.madly.deeply in love this couple looks. In almost every photograph Martha and JD are either holding each other or each other’s hands, and it just warms my heart! There really is no better way to start off a Monday morning than with a bundle of L.O.V.E.! And that farm-meets-vineyard location? Hook, line and sinker!

Happy Monday! Xo, Madison

Holy adorable!! I’m seriously considering dying my hair (and getting married) after seeing this Milwaukee engagement session. There’s just something about newly engaged couples that gets me every time! In this case, it might be the rays of sunshine turning the leaves the yellow, the pretty blue and green dresses the bride-to-be is sporting, and the couple’s glowing faces giving me wedding fever — they are just too cute!

A little note to the groom: you can’t go wrong taking Matthew’s lead in wearing a plaid shirt that incorporates the colors of your fiances various outfits. Xo, Megan

This Atlanta wedding is exactly what I would expect from the south — simplicity, elegance and just a hint of outdoor ruggedness. The bride looks effortlessly stunning, and the blue, yellow, and white color combination looks just like the Georgia flower, cherokee rose, painted against the bright blue sky — I’ll have some sweet tea with that, please! Adding the finishing touches on this fine affair, are the castle-like walls of St. Jude the Apostle Church. We hope your wedding is a fairytale dream come true just like Amy & Nathan’s!

While they may not be ideal for a fall or winter wedding, royal blues and lime greens are always a fantastic go-to color combo for the spring and summer. If used with creative patterns, like polka dots, these colors will add the perfect amount of pep to your big day. Plus, preppy never goes out of style – just ask Ralph Lauren. xo, Meg

I love it when vibrant shades come together with pastels! Soft blue & soft pink with pops of red create such a fun & unique wedding palette. One of my favorites is the idea of pairing the red gerbera flowers with the sky blue bridesmaids dresses! Another fab idea is filling blue mason jars with pink & red roses as a simple, yet gorgeous centerpiece. Are you considering this lovely palette for your big day?

Peacock feathers have definitely been a favorite for brides these days. If you’re a fan of these gorgeous birds and their lovely royal tones, then this will surely stir up some inspiration! Whether it’s the color palette you’re in love with, or just the overall feather theme, there are so many ways to incorporate it into your wedding day. I love the idea of using different color bridesmaids dresses to match the feathers, or going bold with a feather headpiece! Below are more great ideas from our very own brides. Enjoy and Pin away!
