ROMANCE ON THE HORIZON AT LYDIA & CURTIS’ RUSTIC AFFAIR, MIAMI

10-18-17

Miami isn’t all flash and sizzle - it wears rustic romance like no other! Take note from Lydia and Curtis, whose charming Miami wedding married tradition with trend.

It all started with the dress. Favoring a modern kind of modest, Lydia looked princess-esque in her textured wedding dress with illusion lace sleeves, a dramatic deep v-neckline and a full skirt. Her something blue? Deep navy wedding shoes that complemented Curtis’ tux.

The mismatched bridesmaid dresses exuded a boho vibe with flowy silhouettes and a neutral spectrum ranging from stone to blush to mushroom to burgundy. Crowns of fresh eucalyptus topped off their look.

This couple shared such a sweet first look where Lydia covering Curtis’ eyes before the big reveal. That embrace was everything and illustrates why this is a key wedding photography moment.

Forgoing a monochromatic floral arrangement, Lydia went for a statement bridal bouquet radiating rich color and texture with a variety of blooms. Deep red roses were at the heart of it, surrounded by blush peonies, purple calla lilies, leafy ferns and eucalyptus.

After an intimate ceremony at Parkridge Church in Coral Springs, guests followed a series of charming signs that lead the way to the wedding reception beneath an open-air tent. Flickering lanterns and frames hung from the trees alongside burlap-covered tables and an eclectic assortment of furniture, creating a welcoming, whimsical nook for guests to mingle and relax.

After dancing the night away and feasting on a gorgeous naked red velvet wedding cake, these two made their escape and the night with a romantic sparkler send off - the perfect ending to a perfect day.
