Peak Perfection: Lauren & Ben’s Mountain Wedding, Colorado Springs

08-02-17

Take note, nature-loving brides and grooms to be! One look at Lauren and Ben’s Colorado wedding photography and you’ll fall right in love with the majestic mountain views at The Lodge at Elk Valley in Colorado Springs.

Lauren's wedding-day attire embodied her free-spirited nature. Trading a traditional gown for a modern look, Lauren floated like a boho-chic fairy in a two-piece wedding dress composed of a white bodice and a flowing lilac skirt that swept the forest floor. She kept her hair down and natural, adorned with a simple flower embellishment that spotlighted a single red rose.

For her bridal bouquet, Lauren mixed deep, dramatic hues with fresh white roses, thistle and cascading greenery, giving the arrangement a little bit of texture.

Rather than keep their big reveal private, Lauren and Ben chose to have their first look in front of their wedding party so they could all share the big moment together. Lauren styled her bridesmaids perfectly with mismatched dresses in different jewel tones and designs that let them express their personalities. Wearing a navy tux, Ben complemented his groomsmen, who wore slate blue.

We love the natural Colorado vibe of these two running through fields of dandelions, walking among towering evergreens and lying in the green fields among wildflowers. Simple yet distinct, the altar was a natural structure of timber strewn with fresh leaves and arranged in front of a flagstone wall that lent textural interest to the ceremony shots.
