Lindsay & Jeff's Playful Boston Engagement

01-24-17

Lindsay and Jeff took full advantage of these colder months, and ended up giving us a heartwarming engagement session! With a few beautiful and creative props in tow, this duo turned their afternoon into one to remember. Prepare to be inspired by these delightful Boston engagement portraits.

Lindsay and Jeff found an amazing industrial looking warehouse space that made for a simple and unique engagement photo location. With views out onto the water, the couple had plenty of backgrounds to choose from for their portraits.

We adore these "save the date" balloons -- these two took a unique and creative spin on an engagement session favorite. These balloons are such a standout detail that are easily made at home, and definitely won't break the bank! The pink heart is a perfect final touch.

Lindsay and Jeff brought so much creativity into their prop selections. Not only do they have several options to use for their "save the date" wedding announcements, but they are great portraits to frame and hang at home. To create this mugs for your own session, we recommend heading to your local craft store and picking up a few paint markers in a contrasting color to the mugs you have selected.

Another great DIY prop idea? Break out your scrabble game and borrow a few pieces to make a few words of love -- double points if you use the engagement ring for the letter 'o'!

Lindsay and Jeff made a quick outfit change for some variety in their portraits. We love the neutral color palettes that these two selected, giving an effortless vibe to their photos!

By choosing a simple location for their engagement photos, the couple was able to capture photos free from distractions -- putting their undeniable chemistry front and center for the camera. These beautiful candid moments are what portrait dreams are made of.

We can't get enough of this location! The tall ceiling and open airy doorways creates such a stunning and dreamy background for a memorable portrait.

The couple was lucky enough to catch a beautiful golden hour and sunset to finish off an already stunning session. We love the dreamy glowing light behind the couple! Overcast skies often creates the best lighting for portraits — and if you can catch the setting sun as well, you’re even luckier yet! Start your shoot at least an hour before sunset for the chance to reap both benefits. Check out our blog post for a few of our most helpful tips for plannning your engagement session.
