There’s something about the beach that puts everybody at ease. Turns out, it makes for some beautiful, carefree engagement photography! Take note from Kaley and Jonathan’s go-with-the-flow-session in Sturgeon Bay in Milwaukee.

They couldn’t have asked for better lighting than the overcast sky they lucked out with. The overcast created the perfect lighting conditions for their Milwaukee engagement photographer. The striking contrast and shadows stood out in every frame.

Kaley and Jonathan’s natural beauty really allowed their photographer to capture them in their element. An engagement session is all about being yourself! The finished product looks so much more engaging and authentic.

Wardrobe-wise, these two perfectly complemented the serenity of the beach. Kaley switched between two white bohemian dresses, while Jonathan kept it classic casual in a chambray button-down and jeans. This color palette really stood out against the gray sky and blue waves rolling in the background.

We love how their props were so personal - they brought along a few of their favorite books. And how sweet that they included their dog in their engagement session! We were really feeling the love.
